What is microneedling?
True to its name, this cosmetic service involves using tiny and sterile “microneedles” to encourage healing that then repairs or reverses damage associated with the process of aging or environmental factors (such as tanning and pollutants). Dozens of needles are used to gently and precisely make small perforations in the tissues at the treatment sites. By creating controlled injuries in the skin, we stimulate a healthy healing process. As the skin heals, collagen and elastin are produced. So, the skin that grows back appears smoother, firmer, more radiant, and feels softer.
What is RF?
Many of today’s most popular nonsurgical therapies, from ultrasound to Radiofrequency, are assisted by energy. What does treatment feel like?
We start by applying a topical anesthetic to the treatment sites. Before passing the microneedling device to the treatment sites, our team ensures your skin is numb. Again, the system also has built-in settings, which may be used to customize the intensity of treatment and support your comfort. It is also not unusual to experience warmth as the needles deliver RF energy below the skin’s surface.

When can I see the results?
Healing takes time. This is not a “one and done” procedure, though some of our patients have seen improvements in the clarity and softness of their skin after just one treatment and within a few days. The real results from Morpheus8 occur gradually as more collagen and elastin are produced. Depending on your needs, goals, and how your body responds to treatment, a series of three appointments spaced one month apart at the office of Resplendent Day Spa may be required. But, once those results are visible, all you generally need to maintain them is an annual “touch-up” session and these rewards with little to no “social downtime”!
